The pictures below are typical of scenes from tribal villages all over northern Thailand and raise serious questions about the distribution of millions of dollars of annual support that Taiwanese, Korean, and American backers give to missionaries cultivating the tribal people.

Comment  : The church has been built in the tribal village, has this church been assisted the tribal people to sustain their culture, religion or tradition OR destroyed these tribal people's culture, religion and tradiion? I just wonder. I am thai people, but I love thai tribal people, and want to see them keep up their religion, culture and traditon. That has made thailand so special.

Comment  : Sorapong Khamtai If you look into the truth of the matter you will find that the church has helped the tribal people to sustain their original religion. Don't you find it odd that the hill tribes rejected the idolatry of buddhism for a thousand years, yet embraced christianity as soon as the missionaries reached them. The reason is that the hill tribes and the christians were worshipping the same Creator God. They had differint names for Him of course. The Lahu called him Gui'Sha, the Karen called Him Y'wa. Still it was the same Creator God. The hill tribes knew about Him before buddhism existed. The church only brought in some more information about the Creator, which the tribes were of course glad to have. Email me if you want to talk further. Terry

Comment  : Terry, I do not believe the christianity is the same religion as the tribal people believe. Christianity is believing in god, but the no the tribal people. The tribal people believe in Ancesters with truth evidence.
