Shall We Dance?
During the "Poy The Way" (a Lahu word meaning "dancing"), the musical instruments accompany and lead the players playing and dancing. One or some of the players act as the lead dancer or dancers while the participants form several circles dancing to the meter of the musical instrument while the dancers' movements and postures change accordingly. In daily life, the Lahu people enjoy playing the musical instruments while dancing, singly or in groups. During the Lahu Festivals or other celebrations, the collective dance is danced in all the villages, when men and women, old and young, come and join in the activity.
